Hawkins ISD is a 2A district located in Wood County Texas. We are on the south side of the railroad tracks near the corner of State Highways 80 and 14. The district was established in December of 1940 and has served Hawkins ever since. The district retains its family atmosphere and can boast generations of Hawkins graduates, several of whom have returned to the district to serve as educators.
Hawkins has spacious facilities. Two bond elections brought multiple facilities improvements to the district over the past 10 years. Improvements include a newly constructed high school gymnasium, dining facilities, elementary science, labs, and field house as well as major renovations to the auditorium and baseball/softball fields.
Hawkins has a commitment to creating students who will be college and career ready; with skills that will allow them to be prepared in a world where knowing what the future holds changes every day. Upgraded networking and digital devices provide students with the most up to date tools with which to learn. Students explore and discover under the capable leadership of first rate classroom teachers and staff members.
Hawkins ISD works every day to create Hawk
